I want deliplayer as a plugin, so I don't have to switch between players to hear my collection.. and so I am able to stream my music as radio using icecast (which xmplay supports but deliplayer doesn't)
Please please please realize that you failed with the GUI, it is NOT user friendly, and a takes alot of effort to use.. |
You can use XMP-Delix plugin for XMPlay. It's in alpha stages but works pretty nice, playing over 120 Amiga formats.

XMPlay sounds aweful compared to DeliPlayer.
I tried the Delix plugin and played the Amiga formats on both players. Also will DeliPlayer know a lot more Amiga formats then XMPlay with the Delix plugin.
The only bad thing with DP2 here: Once in a while I have to reinstall it cos of some incompatibilities (maybe with the sound card, I don't know). All of a sudden DP2 sounds like music out from a tin can. |

I don't understand the problem. If one doesn't like the pre-configured client GUI sets of DP2 after the installation, learn how to customise them, and arrange them to your personal likings. I wish other programs I have to use regularly HAD such a flexible GUI.
While I agree that customizing may be bothersome if you try it first, it beats other customizable UIs hands down. The design and functionality of the customiser is intelligent, structured and logical, you can't make it any simpler without sacrificing functionality. |
